A taste of home.
Mlilo's Kitchen is named after my mum, a Mlilo by family. The recipes we cook have travelled from our Ndebele kitchen in Zimbabwe to a small corner of South East London, Kent. They're classics loved across Southern Africa, and we share them at our table with everyone who sits at it.
Every pot is started the way it should be: onions softened low and slow, spices bloomed in hot oil, meat left to simmer until it falls off the bone. Our pap is stirred by hand, our chakalaka is made fresh, and our peri-peri chicken is roasted until the skin blisters and the juices run clear.
Nothing is rushed. That's the only secret. Every plate leaves our kitchen the way it would leave yours, for people you'd feed well.

We cook the way we'd cook for family because that's who you are to us.
